Sending Art Safely!!!

Homage To Norval Morrisseau

Regardless of whether you are selling or gifting art work the question of how to send work in the mail is a question that plagues  most artists. As I got a lot of experience sending works off and as we are shifting some work from collection to collection, I thought I might make make a post to give you simple easy, effective pointers on getting your work SAFELY from A to B. This post from my Instagram account says most of what you need to know.
The work above is a homage to Great Canadian artist Norval Morrisseau entitled “Lonely Ghost and the Valley of the Mountains” being sent to collector Ugo Matulic owner of one of the largest Morrisseau collections in the world.  The primary work in the video is a homage to Soundgarden/ Chris Cornell ” Hans All Over Loude Love” is being shipped to a collector in New York,  so you better believe it is imperative to get these work to the right place, in a good amount of time as safe as can be and this is the best advice I can offer

The only things I might add are make sure your writing is clear, the address correct and complete with postal or zip code. I also HIGHLY SUGGEST you pay extra for the postage to ensure not only you have a tracking number but so that also a signature is required!!  Shipping canvas is a little different as it can be rolled and sent in a tube and fer small size sculptures I might suggest  very careful bubble wrap then boxing it.None the less the same basic rules apply. HAPPY SHIPPING!!!
